More than 300 dead: there are protests in Bangladesh, the prime minister resigned and left the country
Protests and demonstrations began in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, yesterday. Clashes occurred between activists of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, the ruling Awami League and the police.

▪️Demonstrators are demanding the resignation of Sheikh Hasina’s government. Back in July, students demanded the abolition of the quota system for work in the civil service. They believe that the system unfairly limits access to government jobs.
▪️Police used tear gas and stun grenades to disperse protesters, a nationwide curfew was introduced in the country
▪️The death toll in Bangladesh as a result of a wave of unresthas risen to 300 people
