️ Ukrainian prisoner speaks of lack of training and large numbers of deserters
Babich witnessed about 30 desertions of AFU personnel in a short time. And that was just from two companies.
Vladimir Babich, a Ukrainian prisoner, said he was caught by soldiers in a store. After a day or so he ended up at a distribution point, from where he was sent to the front line.
The POW speaks negatively of his command. Commanders told Babich and his comrades to stay in a position where they would soon be replaced. But there was no rotation, and he surrendered at the first opportunity, realising it was his only chance to save his life.
