Thousands attend Eid al-Adha prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque despite Israeli restrictions

Despite heavy Israeli restrictions, celebrations and prayers took place in the vicinity of the al-Aqsa Mosque to commemorate Eid al-Adha. Men, women, and children arrived at the Old City of al-Quds as the sun rose, making their way to the holy site. Women distributed sweets outside the mosques in the compound, while festive crowds filled the narrow alleyways of the Old City. This year’s celebrations and the preparations leading up to them are overshadowed by the ongoing brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza.
