Crüe Fest was a summer 2008 tour by Mötley Crüe, which commenced on July 1, 2008 and concluded on August 31, 2008. It featured Mötley Crüe themselves, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Trapt, and Sixx:A.M.. During the press conference announcing the tour, Nikki Sixx said that there were currently no definitive plans to tour Europe, however, it is likely that there will be some form of tour at a later date.[1] Crüe Fest is said to be “The Loudest Show on Earth“. The tour earned around $40 million and was the most successful and most popular festival of the summer. The tour was first formulated in January 2008 by Nikki Sixx. Shortly afterwards, the idea was established to do a tour with both bands Sixx is currently a member of (Mötley Crüe and Sixx:A.M.). The idea of Crüe Fest was then created, with Mötley Crüe’s intention of bringing a new touring festival of ’bands that embody the spirit of rock and roll’[1] in the same vein as Ozzfest. T
