Vladimir Krutov Владимир Крутов - The Legendary Tank

Together with Igor Larionov and Sergei Makarov, he played in the famous KLM Line. Krutov was one of the best wingers in russian hockey. For the Soviet Union national team, he won the 1981 Canada Cup, two olympic golds (1984, 1988) and one silver (1980). At the 1988 Olympics he scored most goals (6) and most points (15). Krutov won five World Championships golds (1981, 1982, 1983, 1986, 1989). Krutov was named best forward at 85/86 and 86/87 World Championship. 1986/87 he also scored most goals and points. He was one of the first Soviet players to make the jump to the NHL, but he only played one season with Vancouver Canucks in 1989. Krutov had hard time in North America becuse of homesickness.
