Mass protests in Palma de Mallorca | MALLORCA IS NOT FOR SALE

On the 25th May 2024 Palma city centre ground to a standstill as thousands of residents from all over Mallorca protested about the complete saturation of the island not just from the pressures of tourism, but the catastrophic property situation. This means many local people can no longer afford to live here. The people say, “Mallorca no es ven“ - Mallorca is not for sale. This is a political protest, and changes must be made to the way property is rented and sold. The international media will be turning this protest on its head. Expect to see sensational headlines.
