This song is a legend. 1994 - We were recording our first full length in Seattle, WA, at a small but powerful studio called Avast! in the U-District. Matt Johnson (the drummer for Blenderhead and Don’t Know) was always coming by the studio to hang with us during our session. He was always so much fun. One day Yuri was lamenting about a girl he liked but that didn’t like him back. We all felt bad for him, and that’s when Matt said, “girls shmirls.” When we heard that, we all laughed and talked about how we should start an all-boys club called GSF. Then I wrote the theme song called “Girls Shmirls Foundation,” and the rest is punk rock history! P.S. I heard a group of girls started their own club called BSF!
