If you are reading this, you must be confused as to contents of this video, its title and the large amount of dislikes it’s received. The short version is: This video is a relic of a different sort of YouTube. The long version is: Back in 2009, YouTube allowed for video responses. It was a system that allowed you to “comment“ on a video by uploading your own response video. The original intend was for vloggers to record themselves saying what they would otherwise be typing out as a regular comment. In practice, though, people used the system to create and propagate memes (or, as they were known at the time in these parts of the internet, “youtube fads“). One of the most famous videos to utilize that system was “SCOUT IS DELICIOUS“ from 2008.
