Bach Gigue from French Suite No 5 in G major BWV 816

Rosemary Beckett (1915-2012) started learning piano at the age of 3 and was a performer and teacher all her long life, playing piano and harpsichord in Liverpool, UK, and the North West of England. She was a pupil at Royal Academy of Music, London, from 1936 to 1939 and won the prestigious Sterndale Bennett prize in 1938. Here, in an unrehearsed and impromptu session she plays her beloved Bach in 2006 at the age of 91.
