Sunset 03:51 Despite being known for producing only a self-titled LP, in the recent years a mysterious CD-R release of Isaiah appeared entitled ’’Forgotten records’’, only listed in Martin Pruckner’s long gone site of prog releases with no further references, so the chances this could be a bootleg are pretty large. This offers certain unreleased material by Isaiah, possibly from their early years, as ’’Forgotten records’’ shows an act with an undeveloped majority of this CD-R contains US-influenced guitar-driven Heavy/Blues Rock with emphasis in the rhythmic parts, the crunchy singing lines and the bluesy guitar solos with no links to the Kraut Rock movement. Little contribution comes from some sax solos and background organ passages, the musicianship is solid but too cliche and typical for the style and time with no significant there are also some interesting pieces in here with traces of Isaiah’s later more developed style like the long ’’Playing the circle game’’ with strong BIRTH CONTROL influences, based on light flutes, great vocal parts, measured guitar playing along with atmospheric keyboards and sax parts, the instrumental ’’Sunset’’ with its dreamy and hypnotic approach or the short but fiery ’’Nightmare’’, having an intense Kraut Rock-ing vibe despite the English lyrics. So, no big deal for this mysterious release, as its content is of limited interest and chances to come across it are even you are enjoying bluesy Heavy Rock or want to meet with Isaiah’s early material, then ’’Forgotten records’’ will partly reward your efforts.
