Freediving with a blue shark in Cornwall, UK

Blue sharks are listed as ’near threatened’ on the IUCN Red List. This is mostly due to them being bycatch in the fishing industry. The species actually poses no threat to humans, and it is very rare that bites occur. As such, they are generally safe to swim with, and to show the world their beauty and their plight for survival, the people of organise trips to dive with this beautiful creature.
