The line between underground and official Soviet music scenes disappeared in the late 1980s due to political change, so all underground musicians could finally afford not to work at various jobs for a living. Sony Music was interested in KINO and made them a big offer: the guys were supposed to record a new album in the fall of 1990, and the following year they would have to play in Japan and South Korea. But most of that would never happen. On August 15, while on vacation, Tsoi died in a car crash at the age of 28. News of his passing and the band’s dissolution came as a shock to many people. His bandmates appeared on television to deliver a message to fans of the band, and also found the strength to keep working on the unfinished album. It had no official name at the time of release, so some fans came up with the title themselves due to its black cover. Despite their dissolution, KINO remains the most influential Russian band, and the phrase “Tsoi lives“ resonates in post-Soviet countries as strongly as before.  All tracks are written by Viktor Tsoi KINO: Viktor Tsoi - lead vocals, acoustic guitar Yuri Kasparyan - lead guitar Igor Tikhomirov - bass guitar, drum machine programming, keyboards Georgy Guryanov - drums, drum machine programming Additional musicians: None Technical staff and artwork: Yuri Kasparyan - engineering Igor Tikhomirov - engineering Jean Taxis - mixing, mastering Georgy Guryanov - cover design The album was remastered directly from the original analog master tape by master-engineer Max Kondrashow, assisted by Yuri Kasparyan and Igor Tikhomirov at Maschina Records. #ГруппаКино #ГруппаКиноСлушать #КиноЦой #ВикторЦой #KinoBand #KinoRussianBand #ViktorTsoi
