Okay guys, so I kind of feel guilty about not uploading anything in four years. As a reward for your patience, enjoy this video; a complete summary of Australian federal election results state-by-state from 1901-2019. You might notice this is the second upload of this video. My previous attempt was ruined by Youtube’s bad encoding. This video fixes that problem so feel free to watch in glorious 4K! What you’ll find are the approximate two-party preferred figures (first-past-the-post before 1919), seat count and party leaders for each election. I’ve also included a coloured map of the vote winner in each state and territory to visually illustrate changes between elections. The legend at the bottom of each slide denotes the winner’s margin of victory. Some elections will have helpful captions explaining an important political event, the emergence of a new party, for example. You may need to pause the video to fully read these.
