WE SHALL NEVER SURRENDER speech by Winston Churchill (We Shall Fight on the Beaches)

“We Shall Fight on the Beaches“ or “We Shall Never Surrender“ is a famous historic speech delivered by Winston Churchill to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom on June 4, 1940. Churchill reflected on the disaster in France and rallied the British nation with his unshaken determination: We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender! “We Shall Never Surrender“ was the second of three major speeches given around the period of the Battle of France (the others two being “Blood, toil, tears, and sweat“ speech of 13 May, and “This was their finest hour“ speech of 18 June). Events developed dramatically over the five-week period, and although broadly similar in themes, each speech addressed a different military and diplomatic context. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am unable to monetize my channel due to UMG Corporation (Universal Music Group) somehow claiming copyright to Winston Churchill’s PUBLIC speeches.
