Tablet Weaving & Ply-Splitting: A Tour of Linda Hendrickson’s Studio

Join me on a studio tour to see many examples of my tablet weaving and ply-splitting, including baskets, wall hangings, scarves, jewelry, bands with pictorial and geometric images, tablet-woven pangrams illustrating historic scripts and fonts, and a few of my favorite textiles that I’ve collected from around the world. You’ll also get a peek at how things are set up for working and teaching: my work tables, a tablet-woven inscription band in progress, and the ropewalk where I make cords for ply-splitting. My studio occupies the entire second floor of our home in Portland, Oregon. My husband converted an unfinished attic into this beautiful space, which has skylights, a ceiling which reaches 16 feet high, and the original wood floors. If you’re planning to visit Portland, please feel free to contact me for a tour or to arrange for private instruction. Subscribe to my channel to be notified when we upload new videos.
