How would you film a ski-chase up close before the invention of robots that could film it for you? The answer is that most people wouldn’t, but in 1969, the James Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was released with a harrowing, up-close ski-chase filmed by none other than Willy Bogner. For the scene, Bogner invented a revolutionary camera-harness, which he could use to film while skiing at 80km/hour, which he later used again while filming this sequence from his own film, Fire and Ice.
