BWV 1006a Prelude by J.S. Bach on guitar, performed by Andrey Lebedev

This brilliant Prelude seems to have been a favourite of Bach’s. He arranged it several times including in the Violin Partita No.3 BWV 1006, the Lute Suite No. 4 BWV 1006a, and Sinfonia to the festive Cantata BWV 29. This arrangement for guitar is by Valter Despalj. I’m playing on a guitar by Australian luthier Jim Redgate in a live recording made by Jakob Schmidt on 3 March 2018.
