Full Video of Mars Helicopter Ingenuity First Flight Showing Ascending & Landing in HD

This is a full video of Mars Helicopter (Ingenuity) First Flight released by NASA. It shows the helicopter ascending, hovering, rotating 96 degrees, and landing. After rotating the helicopter is now facing the Perseverance rover, so we should expect to see images of the rover captured by Ingenuity. The flight took place on April 19, 2021, at 3:34 a.m. EDT (12:34 a.m. PDT) – 12:33 Local Mean Solar Time (Mars time). It climbed to its prescribed maximum altitude of 10 feet (3 meters) and hovered in a stable position for 30 seconds. Then the helicopter descended, touching back down on the Martian soil. This flight proved that powered, controlled flight from the surface of another planet is possible.
