The Russian defence ministry has said its forces have “captured” Mykolaivka, a small village southwest of Bakhmut and Kramatorsk. However, the Wagner group had already claimed control of the Mykolaivka town on February 2. Russian officials in Donetsk claim Ukrainian forces used chemical weapons along the Soledar and Bakhmut frontlines. Wagner Group head, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has challenged Ukrainian President Zelensky to a one-on-one air fight. Meanwhile, Norway plans to provide $7.3 billion aid to war-torn Ukraine over a period of 5 years.
