When the very tall, NBA, basketball star, Wilt Chamberlain was tapped to do a commercial for the pint sized VW Beetle people must have thought the ad agency had made a mistake. But Volkswagen proved that a little self deprecating humor could go a long way. That’s the long and the short of it. Couldn’t resist.
