Malive, simo not simon - The Entry

After contributing to Diynamic’s „Four To The Floor“ series, Brazilian artist Malive returns with his first full EP on the label. Each track features different collaborators and showcases his versatility. Title track „Reduto“ featuring Malaysian-Austrian singer Billy Otto opens up very melancholically; it’s almost like floating a few inches above a foggy lake and tapping the reflective surface in the rhythm of the piano. „The Entry“ together with Simo Not Simon picks up the pace and shows some attitude - a Carribean vocal, bouncy bass and choppy percussive element get you in the mood to prance. „Sophisticated“, which Malive made together with Coppola and 2Strange feels very mellow and might be best described as Brazilian Jazzatronica. And closing off the „Reduto“ EP is „Back 2DB“, again with Simo Not Simon - an enigmatic and slightly somber Indie Dance tune with a hopeful twist. Available here:
