Ron Mueck (Melbourne, Australia, 1958) is an Australian sculptor. Mueck makes since 1996 hyper-realistic images in modern materials, combinations of silicone and fiberglass. He creates images in various sizes, from tiny to very large. In addition, he uses a lot of realistic material, such goose bumps, hairs and veins. In 1986 he did the special effects of Labyrinth, a fantasy movie with David Bowie. In 1990 he started his own production company to make models for the European advertising industry.
