A-Sides Presents: Melanie Martinez “Carousel“ & “Dollhouse“ (7/10/2014)

On The Voice, Melanie Martinez won over tons of fans, and scored a record deal. She just dropped her Dollhouse EP which showcases her unique style, substance, and singing voice. it’s safe to say conforming or being a pop clone is the last thing on her mind. Martinez, 18, has her own look, her own sound, and her own everything. Her music and lyrics are dark. Her personality and style - notably her two-toned hairstyle - is very upbeat. Oh, and as for her voice, is a cross between - well let’s just say it’s subtly powerful. Late last month, she performed a pair of songs off her EP and sat down for a chat.
