The fine art of Kashmiri Puri (Paratha) making

The skillful and fascinating art of Kashmiri Puri (Paratha) making at the small market adjacent to the 700-year-old shrine and Historical Khaniqah [Masjid or Mosque) at Chrar-e-Sharif in the Budgam District. This historical town is famous for the tomb of Sheikh Noor-u-din Noorani, who preached Islam through his poetry. Halwa is wrapped in Paratha torn off the main piece and then wrapped in newspaper. Sweet and delicious, this was one of the freshest and best we came across in Kashmir. Special thanks to Md. Ishaq Chapri , Srinagar, Kashmir for helping us to make this happen.
