New doll challenges Barbie body shape

American artist Nickolay Lamm has created a rival to the Barbie doll - one with the slogan “average is beautiful“ He produced a prototype of the doll, Lammily, last year based on US government measurements for an average 19-year-old American woman and launched a crowd-funding campaign to put it into production. The doll comes with stickers that include tattoos, spots and cellulite.
