19 Pakistani sailors were rescued by an Indian navy warship. Pirates hijacked a fishing vessel off the east coast of Somalia. Indian warship INS Sumitra was pressed into action, which was the second anti-piracy operation in 36 hours. Eleven armed pirates climbed onto the Iranian-flagged fishing vessel FV Al Naeemi and took 19 crew members hostage. According to reports, the warship intercepted the fishing vessel and coerced the pirates to release the hostages.
