An opera classic that spread from Venice to the world. “La donne è mobile” is the canzone of the Duke of Mantua from the beginning of the third act of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Rigoletto. At the opera’s premiere at La Fenice in Venice on 11 March 1851, this aria was hailed as the highlight of the evening.
