Painting a Day Demonstration-Barn Owl by Roberta “Roby“ Baer, PSA

I have been asked to paint owls many times and I decided to start with a Barn Owl. I used to raise Persian Cats and the face of the Barn Owl resembles the sweet expression of those cats. Though the eyes are always one of my favorite things to paint, I enjoyed the challenge of the intricacy of the feathers in this painting.
