The REAL Story Of “The Sound of Freedom“ | Operation Triple Take
The island scene in “Sound of Freedom,“ led Operation Underground Railroad to its biggest rescue operation to date. It was called Operation Triple Take, with three takedowns in three different Colombian cities to rescue victims of sex trafficking in 2014. Along with the 123 survivors liberated, 20 traffickers were arrested and are now facing charges for their crimes.
In the new film “Sound of Freedom,” a son and daughter have been kidnapped and sold into trafficking. The story of this daughter is based on the true story of Guesno Mardy and his son, Gardy. In the film, the daughter is rescued; however Gardy is still missing despite .’s best efforts through the years.
