IKE & TINA TURNER Shame Shame Shame

Somehow a little British movie called ’Fisherman’s Friends’ ultimately brought me to discover this wonderful 1980 recording by the legendary Tina Turner (oh yes and Ike). Featured in that film’s soundtrack was the 1974 disco classic ’Rock The Boat’ by The Hues Corporation and I began looking on youtube to see if I could find an extended version of it. ’Rock The Boat’ was one of the first pop hits that i ever heard (my pop culture adventure started in late 1974). This youtube search led me to stumble across Shirley & Company’s version of ’Shame Shame Shame’ which although i liked in 1975 when it was a hit here in Australia, i never particularly liked her voice (sorry Shirley), but i did have Sinitta’s early 90’s cover version - having been a HUGE Sinitta fan.
