Dayton, Ohio is one of five cities in the United States to have a trolleybus (trackless trolley) system still in operation. The city has a population of 140,000, making it the smallest city in North America with a trolleybus system. - In May 2013, RTA placed an order with Vossloh Kiepe for four prototype low-floor, dual-mode buses, the first of which (No. 1401) arrived on September 29, 2014, and the other three between November 2014 and January 2015.
