This is an amazing place. The volume of paintings, statues, mosaics, tapestries, etc is overwhelming (the tours operating in the Vatican really keep people moving). Where else in the world can you see thousands of masterpieces in the space of a few hours? It does get crowded. Choose your day and time wisely!
