Biden Actually NOT Releasing Marijuana Prisoners From Prison

It was with great fanfare and public excitement this week that the Biden administration announced pardons for federal prisoners convicted of possessing small amounts of marijuana. Many Democrats cheered this long-awaited partial honoring of Biden’s campaign promise, typically without noting that the pardons will release exactly zero inmates from federal prison, seeing as how federal arrests for possession alone are vanishingly rare. So is this announcement the harbinger of more relaxations of federal drug laws or merely a ploy to trick voters ahead of the 2022 midterms?
