Why Is The Wisconsin National Guard Being Deployed To Africa?

News reports have revealed that 200 members of the Wisconsin National Guard are being deployed to the Horn of Africa. Thank goodness Wisconsin has solved all of its problems so it can be shipping troops halfway across the globe, right? The Guard members will ostensibly be there to “provide stability” for NATO staff while “building relationships” in countries like Ethiopia and Somalia. Because all the United States cares about is stability in the Horn of Africa. Just ask all the victims of our drone bombings! Jimmy and America’s Comedian Kurt Metzger wonder at members of the “National” guard being sent so far from our borders for a tour of duty that doesn’t seem to have much of anything to do with Wisconsin.
