’Situation in Gaza absolutely dire’: Scotland First Minister

Scotland’s First Minister, Humza Yousuf, has revealed to Al Jazeera that his wife’s family is currently in Gaza, where they have described the situation as “terrifying“ and “absolutely dire“. Yousaf told Al Jazeera, the creation of humanitarian corridors in Gaza is essential. He is calling Israel to allow vital supplies into Gaza and to allow people to leave. Yousaf also said, collective punishment on a whole population who have nothing to do with the horrendous actions of Hamas cannot be justified.
