This week Suella Braverman questioned whether the modern asylum law is still relevant, despite it being created over 70 years ago. Braverman asks whether the United Nations Refugee Convention of 1951 is “fit for our modern age“, and also argues certain discrimination should not by itself be enough to qualify for protection under international refugee laws.
