Jimi Hendrix - Machine Gun (live) - drum cover // by Kevin S Reardon.
Hello everyone! This is my favorite Jimi Hendrix song from his absolutely phenomenal live album, Band Of Gypsys. (1970). I must explain a little here- I am a veteran, I served eight years in the Marines, and after watching the horrible as hell news this morning, I kinda went into a deep funk while reflecting upon what I had seen. This video is all I could come up with to explain my anxiety and sadness in a way that I felt everyone could easily understand. I have never attempted to play this one as a cover, as it’s a bit long, but it definitely resonates with me today in a very big way. I didn’t finish the whole thing, as I sorta broke down at the end. I hope you don’t mind me playin’ along with Jimi- Luv, Kev.
