The 30 Millions d’Amis Foundation (30 Million Friends) is the best known registered charity in France that fights on many fronts to defend and protect animals. Every summer an important campaign is launched to prevent people from abandoning their pets. 60 000 dogs and cats are « thrown out » by families going on vacation each year.
