Hovering high above our village. All this time I believed you would come for me. Pull me out of the dark before I get lost. (All their lies I believed you would come for me) Hidden in plain sight. Placed in the shadow of the city. Closed the door and hid me away. Hope and my dreams have been stripped of me. Pull me out of this room before I rot. All this time I believed you would come for me. Help me out of this dusk before I disappear. (Their lies I believed you would come for me.) (I tried to get out of here and escape.) Flying above and spreading its wings. Claw like nails reaching for me. The sun has set but I still see my shadow. Was it you? Was it me? Was it nothing that I could see? In the dark. In the light. There is only existence. Close the door. Lock the key before someone sees. Make believe I was gone. That I wasn’t there. Hide away. I was placed in your shadow. I was left to decay, decay, decay, decay. (Escape, escape, escape, escape.) Pull me out. No one else. Pull me out. I need help and nothing less. ‘Till there’s nothing left. --- FUMING MOUTH are back! After years of uncertainty and dire circumstances, the revered and critically praised New England death metal perpetrators have overcome overwhelming obstacles to return for the long-awaited second, full-length album, Last Day of Sun, released on November 3rd, 2023 via Nuclear Blast Records. Following a devastating diagnosis of leukemia in late 2021, vocalist/guitarist Mark Whelan spent nearly a year battling cancer through chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, and emerged in remission in 2022. Now cancer free, the beloved frontman returns rejuvenated with renewed determination, perspective and creativity in a new lease on life and the band’s most crucial and ferocious record yet. Commenting on the record, Whelan says: “What started as a fictional concept album became incredibly real. I was facing certain death, but as I kept writing the album it’s theme became clear. You could die tomorrow. Seize the day.” --- #FumingMouth #Metal #DeathMetalChannel #DeathMetalClassics #MetalMusic #NuclearBlastRecords #NuclearBlast
