One of the historic international Kurash tournaments was held in Sochi

5th November Marked the history of Kurash in Sochi Russia. The first International SOCHI Tournament took place at the Red Arena with invited teams from Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, India and Iran in the open weight Catagorie Men and Women as well as -81kg and -63 kg. Live TV Coverage across Russia and CIS countries was covered and the spectacular. Opening with the Presence of Russian NOC General Secretary Putukhin, Uzbekistan NOC General Secretary Mr. Oybek Kasimov, Makhmudov Deputy Sport Minister of Uzbekistan, IKA General Secretary Reza Nassiri, IKA Acting Technical Director were the main guests. HI level of competition and colorful visualisation made this event expectacular event. Finally Uzbekistan took the first place, Iran second and Russia 3rd place. There may be good news for Kurash in Russia for the month of September 2024.
