Bush fleshed out the themes of a possible presidential campaign in his inaugural address that preached the value of racialdiversity and urged people, young and old alike, “to draw a clear line between right and wrong.“ Although Bush is a front-runner among prospective Republican presidential candidates, he made no mention of President Clinton or his impeachment trial. George W. Bush was sworn in for a second time shortly after noon in a tradition-laden ceremony on the Capitol’s south steps. His father, former President George Bush, mother Barbara, and other family members shared a red-, white- and blue-striped stage outside the pink granite capitol building.
