Quantization Of A Free Real Scalar Field | Quantum Field Theory

In this video, I show you how to quantize a free real scalar field. Specifically, I perform the quantization of a massive Klein-Gordon field. My Quantum Field Theory Lecture Series: Superfluid Helium Resonance Experiment video: Typo: when calculating the commutation relations for the creation and annihilation operators, it appears that I forgot the primes on the omega factors associated with the primed k integration variables. I didn’t notice, because it doesn’t end up mattering. In the case of the creation operator with the annihilation operator, a delta function that sets them equal shows up, and in the cases of like operators, the same thing happens, causing the shown cancellation. As usual, I regret typos, but some are bound to happen in complicated material.
