Lauritz Melchior & Lotte Lehmann in Die Walküre Part 1

This from the legendary 1935 recording with the Vienna Philarmonic under Bruno Walter. Only Act 1 and 2 were recorded due to the political situation at the time. I know I tend to say this a lot about records I upload, but this is really a magic performance caught on record. Melchior the Heldentenor bar none with immense power and tender lyricism. Lehmann sings so expressively it makes my spine tingle, especially in the very quiet parts of the score . Bruno Walter is so subtle and let
