Uriah Heep - Something or Nothing (1974)

This 1977 pressing of the 1974 Wonderworld album from Germany does not have as many high frequencies as expected, so I had to turn them up all the way, which resulted in extra tape noise and vinyl crackling. The record still sounds fantastic! I have had this LP since my high school days when I lived in Siberia. My parents were generous enough to give me money, which I used to purchase Western LPs on the black market since they were not openly sold in stores in the Soviet Union. This album was my introduction to the music of Uriah Heep and remains one of my favorites, despite receiving criticism and not being well-received by many when it was released. This lineup on the record is also my favorite of this band (which was changing frequently over years, as the band started in 1969 is still operating today): RIP Mr. David Byron - vocals, RIP Mr. Lee Kerslake - drums, RIP Mr. Ken Hensley - organ, RIP Mr. Gerry Bron - bass, Mr. Mick Box - guitar - LONG LIVE!!!
