How bees are making a breakthrough in big data

At ABB’s Corporate Research Center in Kraków, Poland, the labs are full of research scientists working on digital technology, advanced robotics and data analysis. But on the roof, a different group of workers are also being put to use. The three beehives began as a local hobby, but it wasn’t long before ABB scientists wondered how easy it would be to monitor and track their behavior – with revealing results.
