Restoration Rusty Handmade Knife

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. One guy from the flea market asked me about restoration. This is a kitchen knife, homemade. But it has a nice weight and good metal. Restoration process: I used a rust remover liquid, then I washed it and impregnated via oil. Then I corrected the shape of the knife and starting to polished it. I used sandpapers from 80 to 400. After I used polishing wheel.  Then I cleaned the knife and used stickers for etching the blade. I used the electrolysis process, around 15 minutes. After washing and impregnation of the knife I corrected also handle of the knife. For handles, I used ash tree and brass pins 8 mm. In the last step with work of handle I used my handmade wax for wood finish. As usual, I made the test for you. I hope you will enjoy this restoration video.
