The legendary violist Nobuko Imai, a longtime Heifetz Institute faculty member, brought with her to the 2017 Institute a custom arrangement by Emil Ludmány for solo viola and string quartet of Max Bruch’s Romance, Op. 85. The performance is introduced by Heifetz student Benjamin Francisco, cello, who plays in the string quartet alongside Heifetz faculty member Francesca DePasquale, violin, and fellow students Kae Tanimura (violin) and Hsuan-Min Chang (viola.)
Captured in performance at a Celebrity Series concert featuring Heifetz Institute faculty on July 14, 2017 at Mary Baldwin University’s Francis Auditorium, home to the Heifetz Institute.
