Whale Shark

It is very rare to see Whale Sharks in Hawaii, in 2007 when open ocean fishing we jumped at the chance to get in the water with this large shark. He came in for one pass and disappeared - unlike our other whale shark encounter, that lasted for about 40 minutes and consisted of the shark seemingly courting the boat, and approaching us as if to get a massage or pick parasites off of it.
