WaterNSW supplies and seeks to improve the availability of water that is important for our communities in New South Wales, Australia. Our education team aims to help young people to understand that: water is a precious resource, and we all must care for our water.
To celebrate World Soil Day, our Education Officers explain how water moves through our catchment areas and interacts with our soil. They introduce the concepts of weathering, erosion, deposition, and turbidity and demonstrate the important role that plants’ roots play in keeping our water healthy.
