In this interview, Fritz Darges, one of the most important contemporary witnesses from Hitler’s inner leadership staff, gives the first impressive account of his time as Hitler’s personal adjutant. Until 1944, Darges worked alongside Hitler at the Führer’s headquarters and on the Obersalzberg, interrupted by training courses and a deployment to the front.
